Designing: A Florida Waterfront Estate With Maison Verve

Designing: A Florida Waterfront Estate With Maison Verve

When a Miami-based interior styling firm was commissioned to furnish a newly completed waterfront home along the Florida canals, the brief was clear from the beginning — create an outdoor space that felt refined, timeless, and effortless, while still embracing the relaxed atmosphere of coastal living.

The property itself was extraordinary. Clean contemporary architecture, floor-to-ceiling glass, a resort-style pool overlooking the canal, and expansive outdoor entertaining areas designed to blend seamlessly into the interior spaces.

But despite the architecture, the outdoor areas initially felt empty.

“The home needed warmth,” explained lead designer Isabella Moreno. “The structure was beautiful, but without the right furniture and materials, it lacked the atmosphere people associate with luxury waterfront living.”

The design team began searching for pieces that felt architectural yet comfortable — furniture that could elevate the space visually without overpowering the home’s minimalist design language.

That’s when they turned to Maison Verve.

The designers selected a combination of the Verona Luxe 3 Piece Sofa Set, the Azure Coast Sun Loungers, and the Stone Haven Fire Table to anchor the outdoor entertaining spaces across the property.

One of the biggest considerations throughout the project was the Florida climate itself.

The team needed materials capable of handling intense sun exposure, humidity, poolside moisture, and regular entertaining, while still maintaining the elevated aesthetic expected from a multi-million-dollar waterfront estate.

“We didn’t want the outdoor space to feel like traditional patio furniture,” Isabella explained. “It needed to feel like a true extension of the architecture — calm, layered, and luxurious.”

The styling process focused heavily on layout and flow.

The main seating area was positioned to frame the canal views while still encouraging conversation around the fire table during the evenings. Neutral tones were carefully chosen to complement the soft limestone flooring, natural oak ceiling accents, and reflective water surrounding the property.

The oversized cushions and low-profile silhouettes softened the modern architecture, while the fire table introduced warmth and atmosphere once the sun disappeared behind the palms.

Ordering through Maison Verve also became part of the overall design experience.

Because the property was still nearing completion during installation, timing and coordination were critical. The design team worked closely with Maison Verve to schedule deliveries around contractors, landscaping teams, and final architectural finishes.

“The communication was surprisingly smooth for a project of this scale,” Isabella said. “Everything arrived exactly how we envisioned it.”

Once fully styled, the outdoor space completely transformed the feeling of the home.

What was once a clean but empty waterfront property became an inviting resort-style environment designed for entertaining, relaxing, and everyday living.

Now, the homeowners spend most evenings outdoors — hosting dinners beside the fire, relaxing poolside overlooking the canal, or simply enjoying the atmosphere the space now brings to the property.

For the design team, the success of the project came down to balance.

“It never felt overdesigned,” Isabella said. “That’s what luxury should feel like — calm, effortless, and timeless.”

Through carefully selected Maison Verve pieces, the home became more than just a waterfront property. It became a complete lifestyle experience shaped around outdoor living.
